Overview
Indonesia's spice trade predates the nation itself — the Maluku and Bangka-Belitung islands were the original source of the world's clove and pepper demand, and that heritage still runs through every shipment we handle. Our spice catalogue spans 20 varieties across rhizomes, seeds, and dried pods, each traced back to a specific growing region, hand-sorted, and lab-tested for essential oil and active-compound content before export.

FAQ
Both come from the same pepper berry, but white pepper is the fully ripened berry with the outer skin soaked off, while black pepper is the unripe berry dried whole with the skin on. Muntok white pepper specifically (from Bangka Island) is prized for a cleaner, hotter, less earthy flavor than white pepper from other origins, and typically commands a price premium in the EU and Middle East spice trade.
At minimum, a Phytosanitary Certificate and Certificate of Origin per shipment — both are required by most destination customs authorities for plant-based agricultural imports. For food-grade buyers, also ask whether the specific lot has been lab-tested for essential oil content, piperine level (for pepper), and microbial/aflatoxin limits, since these vary by harvest and processing method, not just by supplier.
Nusawara's standard MOQ is 500-1,000 kg per SKU, which suits both LCL (less-than-container-load) buyers testing a new spice line and larger buyers consolidating multiple SKUs into a shared container. Smaller trial quantities can sometimes be arranged for first-time buyers who want to verify quality before committing to a full order.
